🍓Ingredients
Here are the ingredients we used for this easy recipe. You can find more information for substitutions below.
- Juicy strawberries - We prefer large strawberries at their peak of ripeness. Red fruit with beautiful green tops. Discard any that are starting to feel soft or bruised.
- White chocolate melting wafers - We recommend using white chocolate candy melts (affiliate link) for ease and convenience.
- If using white chocolate instead of candy melts/wafers, we recommend using white chocolate bars and cutting them into pieces. You will also need to add 1-2 teaspoons of coconut oil or other neutral oil to help temper the chocolate when melting.

📋Instructions
In a microwave safe bowl, melt chocolate at 50% power in 15 second increments. Stir in between each interval for 15-20 seconds. (Image 1)
Grab your dry berries by the leaves. Dip your strawberries about ½ to 3 quarters of the way. (Image 2)
Set your strawberries on your baking sheet with enough space between them, so they don't touch. Let them rest for 5-10 minutes until they harden. You can chill them in the fridge so they can harden quicker. (Image 3)
Top the strawberries with the remaining white chocolate and enjoy! If you have a piping bag, feel free to decorate it with a few designs like swirls. (Image 4)
Decorate with any additional toppings if desired. We like to keep them nice and simple. Enjoy!
✨Tips & tricks
- Add coconut oil to your melted chocolate to make the consistency thinner if it is too thick.
- Microwave at low heat to prevent the chocolate from melting completely. You want a little bit of thickness for it to stick to berries!
- Make sure your strawberries are room temperature when you dry and dip them. Otherwise, they may release water as they warm up and be difficult to stick chocolate too.

💭Frequently Asked Questions
These strawberries are best enjoyed right away, and we don't recommend making it in advance. However, if you need to save it, store it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2-3 days. Do not freeze.
You may be heating them up at too high of a heat and they may need some oil. Microwave at a lower power setting, in smaller intervals. Stir in between heating and add a little bit of coconut oil (about 2 teaspoons per every 8 ounces of chocolate will work).
If this doesn't work, unfortunately the chocolate may be too far gone and you'll need to start from scratch.
No, in fact, they aren't! They have a common recognizable flavor and are perfect for melting and drizzling, but they aren't actually white chocolate.
Real white chocolate must have at least 20% cocoa butter, and melting wafers usually don't contain any. As long as you don't mind the fact that wafers aren't the real deal, they are definitely your best bet for smooth melting and coating the strawberries.
We don't recommend using white chocolate chips for this recipe, as they just won't melt as well.
Chocolate chips have stabilizers in them that help them hold their shape, but this isn't super great for melting.
Fill a saucepan about ⅓ of the way full with water, and set a glass bowl overtop. You don't want the bottom of the bowl to touch the water, however.
Heat the water over medium heat, and bring the water to a simmer. Add in white chocolate pieces to melt, as the steam from the water will heat the chocolate gently. Stir constantly until melted.
