Blueberry simple syrup - Can be made up to 2 weeks in advance and kept in the fridge.
Lemon juice - Freshly squeezed.
Gin - You can use any type of gin you prefer, but we recommend using a botanical, dry gin. Our absolute favorite is Empress 1908 gin.
Ice cubes - To shake the drink with.
Garnish with fresh berries, edible flowers, a lemon peel, or some fresh mint leaves.

✨Substitutions & variations

Here are a few suggestions on additional flavors to try, or simple variations to this recipe.

Add a little extra flavor. Try adding a little bit of triple sec or orange liqueur (like Cointreau) for a refreshing, citrusy flavor.
Use fresh lime juice. You can swap the lemon juice for fresh squeezed lime juice if you'd like.

Can I make a large batch of this cocktail?

To make a large batch, mix the gin, lemon juice, and blueberry syrup really well in a pitcher. If desired, you can add some ice, but just be warned that it will melt into the drink and dilute it over time.
