    • Waffle fries - Homemade or store-bought. You want them to be pre-cooked. We like making our air fryer waffle fries for this recipe.
    • Pizza sauce - Pick your favorite brand or use homemade.
    • Mozzarella and parmesan cheese
    • Sliced pepperoni
    • Basil
    • Red pepper flakes
    • Garlic powder
    • Oregano

Visit the recipe card for the full quantities and nutritional information.

    ✨Substitutions & variations

Here are a few suggestions on additional flavors to try, or simple variations of these fries.

    • Customize your toppings - Swap pepperoni for Italian sausage or bacon, or even add more veggies like mushrooms, bell peppers, onions, and olives for a Supreme style pizza!
    • Use a different sauce - Swap out tomato sauce for alfredo sauce, walnut pesto, or even a little garlic and olive oil to suit your preferences.
    • Seasonings - Feel free to add onion powder, Italian seasoning, cayenne pepper, and more. If you prefer not to have red pepper flakes or oregano, feel free to leave them out.
    • No baking tray - A casserole dish or a cast iron skillet will work just fine for this. Just use parchment paper for easy cleanup.
    • Fries - Crinkle-cut fries, shoestring fries, homemade chips, steak fries, tater tots, and any fry you can think of will work as a great replacement.

    🔪Prep work

    • Preheat the oven to 425°F.
    • Line a 9 x 13 baking sheet with parchment paper.
    • Measure out all remaining ingredients.

    📋Instructions

    💭Frequently Asked Questions

    How to store the leftovers?

This recipe is best enjoyed right away, and we don't recommend making it in advance. However, if you need to save it, store it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Gently reheat in the air fryer or oven. Do not freeze.

Can I make pizza fries with frozen fries?

No, we wouldn't recommend this. You should start with cooked fries, as frozen fries will take too long and become mushy, while the rest of your ingredients will be overcooked.

Your waffle fries act as your pizza crust and no one likes mushy pizza crust.

Is this the only way to make pizza fries?

Nope! Just like your favorite pizza order, customize it to your heart's content. All we recommend is to start with cooked fries and layer up from there. Change the cheese, the proteins, the seasonings, and the toppings to your liking, and enjoy!
