Ingredients

Lavender simple syrup

  • 1.5 tablespoons dried culinary lavender buds
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon dried butterfly pea flowers optional, for the purple color!
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice optional, to activate the purple color
  • 1 cup sugar 200g

Honey lavender latte

  • 1-1.5 ounces lavender simple syrup to taste
  • ½-1 tablespoon honey to taste
  • 2 ounces espresso (could substitute strong brewed coffee)
  • 1 cup whole milk heated and frothed, to taste

Instructions

Lavender simple syrup

  • Add the water, lavender, and butterfly pea flowers to a pot. Bring to a boil, then immediately reduce to a simmer for 5-10 minutes. Add in the optional squeeze of lemon to make the water turn from blueish to purple!
    1.5 tablespoons dried culinary lavender buds, 1 cup water, 1 tablespoon dried butterfly pea flowers, 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Next, strain the lavender water mixture into a separate container through a metal sieve. Discard the flowers. Add the lavender water mixture back to the pot over low heat. Add in the sugar, and stir until the sugar dissolves, then remove it from the heat. Allow it to cool down completely before adding this drink.

Honey lavender latte

  • Add honey, lavender simple syrup, and hot espresso to a coffee mug or glass. Stir to combine and dissolve the honey.
    1-1.5 ounces lavender simple syrup, ½-1 tablespoon honey, 2 ounces espresso
  • Pour in the frothed milk, and stir again.
    1 cup whole milk
  • Top with lavedner buds, and more honey if desired, and enjoy!
