Ingredients

  • 2 pounds snow crab legs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 6 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons fresh parsley, minced
  • 2 teaspoons cajun seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 medium lemon, zest and juice

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • In a small saucepan, melt butter with olive oil. Add garlic and cook til fragrant, about 30 seconds, then add parsley, salt, pepper, and cajun seasoning.
  • Add lemon zest to your sauce and your lemon juice.
  • Place crab legs in a casserole dish, cover with butter sauce, then with aluminum foil. Bake for 15-20 minutes, then baste again with the sauce before serving.
  • Use a crab cracker or kitchen shears if you have some on hand. If not, break the leg at the joint with your hands. Next, insert a fork point into the crab.
  • Now, simply pull the fork out and the crab meat should come out effortlessly! If not, just wiggle it a little bit. Dip in your remaining sauce and enjoy!
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.

Notes

  • You can add creole or old bay seasoning, as well as extra lemon juice  if desired.
  • Crab legs can be cooked from frozen, they may just need up to 10 minutes extra in the oven.
