- 2 pounds snow crab legs
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 6 cloves minced garlic
- 2 teaspoons fresh parsley, minced
- 2 teaspoons cajun seasoning
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 medium lemon, zest and juice
Preheat oven to 400°F.
In a small saucepan, melt butter with olive oil. Add garlic and cook til fragrant, about 30 seconds, then add parsley, salt, pepper, and cajun seasoning.
Add lemon zest to your sauce and your lemon juice.
Place crab legs in a casserole dish, cover with butter sauce, then with aluminum foil. Bake for 15-20 minutes, then baste again with the sauce before serving.
Use a crab cracker or kitchen shears if you have some on hand. If not, break the leg at the joint with your hands. Next, insert a fork point into the crab.
Now, simply pull the fork out and the crab meat should come out effortlessly! If not, just wiggle it a little bit. Dip in your remaining sauce and enjoy!
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.
- You can add creole or old bay seasoning, as well as extra lemon juice if desired.
- Crab legs can be cooked from frozen, they may just need up to 10 minutes extra in the oven.
