Ingredients

  • 2 ounces sugar free white chocolate chips
  • 4 ounces coconut milk (any milk or milk substitute you prefer will work)
  • 2 ounces espresso (or strong brewed coffee)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • To make the white chocolate milk, gently melt the white chocolate chips over medium-low heat in a saucepan or with a double boiler method (double boiler preferred) with the milk for around 7-10 minutes, stirring very frequently to prevent the white chocolate from sticking or burning, until the white chocolate is fully dissolved in the milk.
The temperature on a candy or quick read thermometer should read between 140 and 150°F.
  • In a glass, add ice cubes espresso or strong brewed coffee. Pour the white chocolate milk mixture over top to combine.
  • Garnish with whipped cream, white chocolate drizzle and white chocolate chips. (optional) Enjoy!

Notes

  • Feel free to add more milk to suit your preference with this drink. We like the white chocolate flavor to have more of a prominent sweet flavor, so we use a smaller amount of milk here. Keep in mind that the milk you use (and amount) will impact the carb and sugar count.
  • Cold coffee or espresso will keep the ice from melting as quickly.
  • If you want this drink to be a little sweeter without adding more chocolate. Taste the white chocolate milk before assembling the drink. Slowly whisk in powdered sweetener to the milk to dissolve alongside your chocolate chips, sweeten to taste.
  • We do not recommend combining the ingredients together to make this drink until you’re going to drink it. Sadly, it doesn’t save well.
  • You can however make the white chocolate sauce ahead of time, as well as the espresso or strong brewed coffee.
  • You can use pre-made sugar free white chocolate sauce or flavoring in place of melting white chocolate chips if you like.
  • Whipped cream and white chocolate drizzle are not included in the nutrition facts.
  • Please taste as you go for best results! This drink is totally customizable to suit your preference.
  • To substitute for instant coffee, make sure to use a dark roast and follow instructions according to the package to make the equivalent of 1.5 – 2 ounces of espresso.
  • To use strong brewed coffee, use about 4 ounces of strong brewed coffee to substitute for 2 ounces of espresso.
