Here's What You Need For The Low Carb Blueberry Smoothie:

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of ice (or more if you like your smoothies really icy, we like ours less icy)
  • 2 ounces full fat cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon sugar free sweetener of choice (we LOVE Monkfruit, Swerve, or liquid stevia)
  • 2 tablespoons MCT oil or coconut oil (their macros are the same, but we prefer MCT oil because it doesn’t clump up when cold)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups unsweetened almond milk (or low carb milk of choice)
Makes 2 servings, if you only want 1, simply cut the recipe in half.
*If you need to add even more fats to this, we suggest doubling the amount of oil, adding a tablespoon of heavy whipping cream or even adding chia seeds for some more fiber & fat!

Here's How To Make A Low Carb Blueberry Smoothie:

We like to add the ice to the blender first. People might argue about this one, it’s really personal preference but we’ve done it like this for years! I learned it from my dad, who owns a smoothie shop.
Next add in your cream cheese and blueberries.
Next add in your protein powder, sweetener of choice, cinnamon and fiber supplement of choice.
Add in your oil of choice, vanilla extract and unsweetened almond milk.
Blend!
Now, all you really need to do is pour and serve. Drink immediately!
We hope this makes an amazing addition to your morning breakfast routine.

    1. Hey Cee Jaye,

Yes, in a cup of blueberries there are about 21 total carbs, minus about 4 for fiber. We love blueberries, but do realize there is some carb content there, so that is why we add 1/2 a cup of blueberries for 2 servings. 🙂
