Here's How To Make Basil and Lemon Baked Salmon:

    1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Mince your garlic cloves. Cut your basil into ribbons.
    2. Start by salting both sides of the fish. Then set fish aside.
    3. In a bowl, melt your butter in the microwave. Add your minced garlic and seasonings. Mix together well, until no clumps of dried seasonings are visible.
    4. Next, using a heavy duty citrus squeezer, add the juice of half a lemon.
    5. Sprinkle in your ribbons of basil. Mix everything together well.
    6. Add your fish filet to your cast iron that is covered in aluminum foil. Drizzle with the basil and lemon butter. Wrap the foil tightly around the salmon. This will poach the fish and infuse it with flavor.
    7. Bake for 15 - 20 minutes until the salmon is cooked to your liking. Garnish with basil and lemon. Serve this lemon baked salmon with a side of this easy creamed spinach or a strawberry fields salad for a delicious and flavorful meal!

    Recipe Notes:

If you are thawing the fish from frozen, place in the refrigerator on a plate to catch any drippings 24 hours before preparing the fish.
